
General Rules and Regulations
The following rules apply to all SEA Tournament competitions organized by PlayPark Inc. In addition to these general regulations, each participating game’s tournament has its own specific rules, available on their respective official game websites and social media pages.
1. General
1.1 Administration & Announcements
1.1.1 Individuals authorized by PlayPark Inc. to administer the competition based on its rules and regulations will be referred to as “admins” or “officials.” The collective group of admins will be called the “administration.”
1.1.2 Any official announcements made through PlayPark Inc.’s official website or social media platforms serve as official communication for the tournament.
1.1.3 Official announcements and statements from the administration supersede these rules if necessary for fairness. In cases of conflicting declarations, the most recent official announcement prevails.
1.2 Participants & Teams
1.2.1 Any real person with a valid PlayPark account, unless officially banned, is eligible to participate and will be referred to as a “participant.” A group of participants forming the minimum required number will be recognized as a “team.”
1.2.2 Team and participant names must not contain obscene, vulgar, or offensive content. Admins reserve full discretion to reject names. Violations may result in disqualification, suspension, or permanent banning.
1.3 Commitments
1.3.1 Participants acknowledge their obligation to comply with the rules, official announcements, and decisions of the administration.
1.3.2 The administration reserves the right to modify rules at any time without prior notice.
1.3.3 Respectful conduct toward officials and other participants is mandatory. Any form of insult, harassment, or inappropriate behavior may result in penalties.
1.3.4 Teams must adhere to the official tournament schedule and ensure availability during designated match times.
1.3.5 Intentionally losing matches is strictly prohibited.
1.3.6 Participants grant PlayPark Inc. the right to use their name, likeness, and tournament performance for promotional or public materials, including advertisements, marketing campaigns, and social media.
1.4 Gaming Equipment
1.4.1 Necessary gaming peripherals will be provided by the administration.
1.4.2 Participants may bring personal equipment (keyboards, mice, headphones, mousepads), subject to approval, unless prohibited in specific tournament stages.
2. Teams & Players
2.1 Team Size
Teams must consist of three to five members or the minimum number required by the specific game’s tournament rules.
2.2 Lineup Information
Teams must provide the administration with requested information, including:
- Full legal names
- Game or membership account details
- Contact information
- Designated team captain
2.3 Team Management
2.3.1 Each team must designate a Team Captain who will handle all official decisions on behalf of the team.
2.3.2 New members may only be added if they have not played for another team and are approved by the administration.
2.3.3 Any changes to team information must be reported promptly by the Team Captain.
2.3.4 Changing the team captain requires confirmation from all current team members.
2.3.5 The administration considers all decisions made by the Team Captain as binding for the entire team.
2.4 Substitution
2.4.1 Teams may declare one (1) substitute player during pre-registration.
2.4.2 Substitutes must not be members of other teams or have played for another team at any stage of the competition.
2.4.3 Additional substitution restrictions may be defined in specific game rules.
3. Schedule & Punctuality
3.1 Game Times
Official schedules, including match times, will be posted on PlayPark’s website and social media platforms.
3.2 Rescheduling
Match rescheduling is allowed only under exceptional circumstances and requires administration approval.
4. Rule Violations & Penalties
4.1 Penalties
Violations of rules or official instructions may result in penalties determined by the administration.
4.2 Possible Penalties
Default loss of a game or match
Temporary or permanent ban from the SEA Tournament or other PlayPark events
4.3 Violations in Other Tournaments
Serious rule violations may result in disqualification from other PlayPark game tournaments.
5. Prize Money Distribution
5.1 Payment
Prize payouts will be handled during the event or via bank transfer to the registered Team Captain, who is responsible for proper distribution among team members.
5.2 Eligibility
Only players who meet all requirements are eligible to receive prize money.
6. In‑Game Prizes
6.1 Item Restrictions
In‑game rewards are Account- or Character-bound unless otherwise declared as tradable.
6.2 Prize Eligibility
PlayPark Inc. may withhold prizes from teams disqualified due to rule violations.
6.3 Awarding Schedule
Prizes will be processed within 7 to 14 working days after the event, or on the same day for certain game tournaments.
7. Semi‑Finals and Finals Requirements
7.1 Gaming License
All Semi‑Finalists must secure a gaming license from the Games and Amusements Board (GAB), which includes mandatory drug testing, as required by Philippine law.
7.2 Passport Requirement
Finalists must secure a valid passport with at least one (1) year of validity from the start of the SEA Tournament.
7.3 International Representation
If the tournament winner is required to compete internationally but fails to meet travel requirements, a substitute representative may replace them with approval from the Team Captain.
7.4 Substitution Limit
A maximum of two (2) members may be substituted under this rule.
7.5 Failure to Comply
If three (3) or more members of a qualifying team fail to meet requirements, the international slot is forfeited and awarded to the tournament’s runner‑up.
8. Legal Process
All disputes must be resolved exclusively through the tournament’s internal dispute mechanisms. Participants may not initiate external legal proceedings. All rules are subject to change at the administration’s discretion. Participants are responsible for staying updated with official announcements
